Kolkata, 24 July (HS): YES BANK, one of India’s private sector banks, today announced the launch of a unique ‘WhatsApp banking services’ to enable cuastomers to bank securely from the safety of their homes.
This is in line with the Bankâ€™s strategy of building a transformed â€˜Digital Bankâ€™ by making banking simpler and intuitive for customers, top YES Bank sources informed here. Explaining the new method, the sources said Bank customers could now digitally transact a whole host of businesses from the comfort of their homes.
Among the facilities available through this new method were checking the savings account balance, view recent transactions and digital banking products, avail loan against fixed deposits, order cheque book, report unauthorized transactions, apply for other products and services, donate to PM CARES Fund, view COVID-19 relief package, redeem reward points and locate nearby ATMs and branches, all just through by just a message. Built on an AI enabled 24X 7 personal banking assistant,now, banking through WhatsApp would now provide convenience as well as highest level of information security, the sources said adding the messages were fully secured with end to end encryption. ‘The green badge against the Bankâ€™s name ensures that customers are interacting with a verified business account’, the sources informed further.
