During the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, a tragic fire incident occurred, leaving thousands of devotees in distress and panic. It had reportedly happened on Sunday morning in a densely populated area of the temporary camp outlay. The reports suggest that the fire was caused by a gas cylinder explosion. Due to explosion a massive fire spread rapidly and caused dark thick black smoke from the affected area. Prior to this, both fire and disaster management teams were active at the site. But they found it difficult to bring the fire under control due to its intensity. Many tents and other makeshift structures were consumed before the fire could be controlled, after some hours. There was total 18 tents engulfed by the fire and the fire team managed to bring the situation under control. The fire incident at Maha Kumbh has shocked everyone. The management is ensuring for relief and no casualties have been reported so far.
