Samay Raina Supreme Court case

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has expressed strong disapproval of YouTuber Samay Raina, who reportedly fled to Canada and made public comments about an ongoing legal case. The apex court did not hold back, stating, “Perhaps he does not know the jurisdictions that the court has.”

In a scathing remark directed at the younger generation’s online behavior, the court observed, “This young generation considers itself to be oversmart.” While Raina has yet to respond, his international commentary has drawn sharp criticism in legal circles, raising concerns over digital influencers disregarding judicial authority.

Meanwhile, fellow YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, better known as ‘BeerBiceps,’ has signed an undertaking to ensure his content maintains “standards of decency and morality.” This move signals stricter scrutiny over digital creators and their influence on audiences.

As India tightens its grip on online commentary, the question remains—will influencers tread carefully, or will they continue to test the limits of free speech and jurisdictional reach?
