BJP Strikes Back After Congress’ 40-Day Protest Plan—Drama in Jharkhand!

BJP protest against Congress

In what seems like a well-rehearsed political theatre performance, the BJP is reportedly gearing up to launch a protest against the Congress party over Jharkhand Minister Hafizul Hassan’s controversial remarks about the Constitution and Sharia law. This move comes just as Congress launches its own 40-day tirade against the BJP, targeting MP Nishikant Dubey for his remarks on the Chief Justice of India and the Supreme Court.

The irony is hard to miss. One party cries foul over a minister allegedly undermining the Constitution, while the other stages protests over someone allegedly undermining the judiciary. If political tit-for-tat were a sport, Jharkhand would be hosting the Olympics.

Congress, always eager to take the moral high ground (or at least appear to), announced its month-plus-long protest campaign against the BJP-led Centre, accusing Dubey of disrespecting India’s top court. But BJP didn’t take long to respond, pointing fingers at Minister Hafizul Hassan’s own constitutional fidelity. It’s almost as if outrage is being rationed equally across party lines.

Sources suggest the BJP protest will not just be a counter-narrative but a full-blown political offensive, aiming to paint Congress as sympathetic to religious radicalism. Meanwhile, Congress insists that Dubey’s comments are more damaging to democracy than Hassan’s remarks could ever be.

And the public? Most of them are too busy dealing with inflation, unemployment, and summer power cuts to keep score of which politician insulted which institution this week.

But one thing is clear—2024’s election heat hasn’t cooled down in 2025. And in Jharkhand, it’s more than just the mercury that’s rising.
