Bhubaneswar Feb 20,2024 : Honorable Governor Raghubar Das embarked on a visit to Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday, engaging in various impactful initiatives.
During his tour, Governor Das visited the Anganwadi center at Kujidihi, engaging with both Anganwadi workers and parents to discuss the effective implementation of the government’s Poshan scheme.
Subsequently, Governor Das visited the homes of beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) at Kujidihi, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing housing allotments for those in dire need. He directed district officials to expedite the process accordingly. Continuing his visit, the Governor inspected the Community Health Center (CHC) at Kostha, interacting with medical staff and patients. He emphasized the necessity of displaying doctors’ duty charts for public convenience and ensuring punctuality among medical personnel.
Further, Governor Das participated in an interaction program with members of Self-Help Groups (SHG) at Salasahi. Acknowledging the craftwork made from Sabai grass by SHG members, he highlighted the pivotal role of women’s self-reliance in the nation’s progress. Additionally, he engaged with farmers during a program at Baddhenkia, enlightening them about various government schemes and encouraging them to avail themselves of the benefits.
