A train carrying Hindu devotees of Maha Kumbh traveling from Gujarat to Prayagraj was hit by stones near Jalgaon, Maharashtra. Immediate investigation was ordered by the ruling BJP government.

A train carrying pilgrims to the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj was attacked in the middle of its journey from Surat, Gujarat, to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The train became a target of stone pelting near Jalgaon, Maharashtra.

The news came from coach B6 of the train where stones were thrown by known criminals, causing panic among the passengers. While there have been no severe injuries reported, it has brought up serious concerns about the safety of the pilgrims of this Vedic age.
